Holiday Keepsake Books Review

The 12 Joys of Christmas Mini Gift Book- Long after the gifts are opened, the wrapping paper discarded, the toys forgotten, it is our memories of Christmas that remain. The 12 Joys of Christmascelebrates the timeless sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and feelings of a holiday that brings families and friends together in a season of shared ideals, traditions, and lasting joys.
Very Christmas- When Santa’s workshop is destroyed by a ferocious storm, even the richest man in the world is stumped for a way to save Christmas. Just when everyone seems to give up all hope, the unstumpable Ava Buttons, together with her friends, discovers a way to make Christmas wishes come true. Motivated by a desire to help others, Ava converts even her naughtiest friend, Rowdy Meyers, from an enthusiastic getter to a champion giver.
I received copies of these books at no cost in exchange for an honest review.

Our Review
The 12 Joys of Christmas-  This is a cute little book that shows there is more to enjoy at Christmas than just the gifts you receive. The illustrations are simple and colorful. Each page builds on the one before it like the 12 days of Christmas. This isn’t really a story, but it is a great little keepsake, and a nice way to spend a little bit of time together this holiday season.
Very Christmas-  This book brings home the message that it is better to give than to receive in a cute way. The unthinkable has happened and Santa can’t deliver Christmas Wishes, so the main characters, Ava and Mr Stump, save the day with the power of kindness. There are not a lot of illustrations in the book, but the story itself is so engaging that my boys didn’t even seem to mind.
