Pebble by Kahiniwalla Review

Kahiniwalla is a business which distributes Fair Trade products and tells the story behind those products. They care about the quality of their products, how they’re made with the bigger picture in mind. Pebble is one of these products designed by Samantha Morshed, a social entrepreneur based in Bangladesh. Samantha’s vision for Pebble of providing a place close to rural homes in Dhaka where women could work flexible hours was just what over 12,000 rural women were looking for. These rural workplaces provide a welcome alternative to women moving to a large city to work in the garment industry leaving their families behind and making themselves vulnerable to unsafe, unjust and sometimes violent situations.
Knowing the Pebble products are ethically made makes them that much more amazing! Gifts like the Blue Motif Star Bunny are not only adorable and cuddly, but they are made from 100% organic cotton! This precious bunny face is sure to capture the heart of your child and you will feel good knowing that you contributed to making a better life for the women in rural Bangladesh.
I received the Stripey Donkey at no cost in exchange for an honest review.

*Some donkeys have a reputation for being a little bit grumpy… Not ours, though – he has a real twinkle in his eyes and a cheerful smiling face. And with his multi-colored stripes, large floppy ears and bright green tufted mane, he’s full of character and fun.
I fell in love with this adorable stuffed donkey the minute I saw it. I figured I would give it as a gift, but it’s even cuter in person, so instead I decided to keep it for myself. This Stripey Donkey is cute, colorful, and well made. Even if I do let my kids or friends kids play with it, it will not fall apart and there will be no loose threads or pilling. The colors are really bright and eye catching, and I love the floppy ears. The donkey is all natural 100% cotton and is a fair trade product.
The purchase of Pebble by Kahiniwalla products help women in Bangladesh work flexible hours, close to home to make a better life. I am not the most socially conscious person, but I do pay attention to what is going on in the world. When I have the chance to make a purchase like this from a company that gives back I jump at that chance.
