Going Out Tonight? Tips for Looking and Feeling Your Best

Whether you’re going out on the town for a work event, a first date or out with your significant other, you probably want to look and feel your best. That’s true of both men and women even if they show their best side in different ways.

How are you supposed to look your best though? It can be especially difficult if you’re pressed for time because you’ve been at work all day. That simply doesn’t give you an excuse to not try though.

Use this guide to help you look and feel your best when you go out. You’ll have more fun and you might just meet that special someone – if that’s what you’re looking for.

Choose Your Outfit Early

A lot of people find themselves getting home after work at five or six at night when they have to be somewhere an hour later. That doesn’t leave a whole lot of time to do the things you need to do to get ready. If you need a shower and want to put on makeup, it might be downright impossible.

What you can do though is pick your outfit early on. Unless it was a surprise that you’re going out for the evening, you could have picked something to wear the night before and put it aside for your night.

Take the time to do that when you know you’re going to be on a tight schedule but you still want to look great. It’s well worth the effort.

You might even think about keeping some “going out” clothes clean in your closet all the time.

Pack Light

When you’re going out you don’t want to take a ton of things with you, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take anything. Guys should take a comb in a jacket pocket and women that wear lipstick should always take a tube for touch-ups.

Try to avoid taking more than you can keep in a small purse or in your inner jacket pockets though.

Wear Cologne or Perfume

You don’t want to go out smelling like you just left work at the perfume factory, but a little bit of a classic scent like nag champa perfume can really go a long way. Dab cologne or perfume onto your pulse points and people will smell it when they get close, but you won’t stink up an entire elevator.
