We received the Edu Science Crime Lab Fingerprint Analysis Kit at no cost in exchange for an honest review.

It's a classic 'whodunnit' case, and YOU get to be the detective with this Edu Science Crime Lab Fingerprint Analysis Kit, exclusively from Toys'R'Us! Featuring a dusting brush, two kinds of dusting powder, a magnifying glass, a UV light and so much more, the kit has everything you need to collect and analyze prints right in your own home. No matter the mystery, no perp is safe with you on the job!

The Edu Science Crime Lab Fingerprint Analysis Kit features:

Includes 2 bottles of dusting powder, stamp ink, a stamp pad, a dusting brush, clear labels, plastic film, a blower, a magnifying glass, case record cards, a pipette, a petri dish, a UV light, gloves and instructions

Find fingerprints and perform experiments just like a real investigator
Features classic and fluorescent dusting powder; fluorescent powder shows fingerprints under the UV light

Stamp pad lets you document fingerprints on the case record cards
Informative instructions with 5 included activities allow you to analyze and identify prints and print types, investigate 2 crime scenes and more
2 button-cell batteries are required (included)

My 9 year old is very into science, so this was a huge hit with him. He was so excited about this. He watches some of my crime TV shows with me, and is always fascinated by how they solve the crimes. The instructions are easy enough for him to understand, though he does need some help with the powders. This is a toy set, but the pieces are made with use by kids in mind, they hold up well and aren't flimsy. The powders do not stain or damage any of the surfaces, and wipe off easily. He is so excited to learn new things, and Edu Science is a great brand for these types of products. He already wants some of the other things they offer.
