World Vision Holiday 2014 Review

Sometimes buying holiday gifts can feel like an obligation. Another sweater Grandma won’t wear, another tie to add to Dad’s collection – what if the gifts bought out of social necessity went to supply real necessities around the world? This upcoming holiday season, shoppers can reinvent gift lists with items from the World Vision Gift Catalog. These alternative gift ideas, from goats and chickens to life-saving medicine, honor the recipient and create a lasting impact for people in need. The catalog offers nearly 250 gifts online and in the print version ranging in price from $16 to $39,000. These gifts can be purchased in the name of a family member, teacher, co-worker or child and a few examples include:

Hand crafted jewelry
Ornaments
Scarves and
Tote bags

I received the Silver Vines Cuff

in exchange for my honest review.

Help where it's needed most — AND receive a gift for yourself or someone you care about! Your gift to help where most needed will address specific, urgent needs that might otherwise go unmet for a child, family, or community. As a memento of this gift, you'll receive this gorgeous, adjustable silver cuff bracelet with an intricately laced vine pattern, designed by artisans in Old Delhi, India. This stunning piece is the result of once-mistreated jewelry makers banding together to support their families through fair trade practices.

My Review

You may, or may not remember I worked with World Vision last year, also around the holidays. They impressed me with their products and their vision then, so I was more than happy to work with them again this year. This year I got to pick this beautiful Silver Cuff. The intricate design on this cuff is so gorgeous. The cuff fits nicely, and is adjustable. I get a lot of comments and compliments when I wear this out. I love to tell people that I got it from World Vision, and that by buying this beautiful peace, I'm helping and giving where it's most needed.
