Ten friends. Two days on a twenty-five-million-dollar yacht, far from shore. Alcohol, sun, skin, and loosened inhibitions. What they find after a night of drunken debauchery is both senseless and horrifying; so much blood, a missing knife.
Everyone’s a suspect. Everyone claims to be innocent. Everyone quickly learns what happens when you keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
I received a copy of this book at no charge in exchange for my honest opinion.
This was an awesome short thriller. Ten people on a yacht miles off shore and one of them is a murderer. The characters are quickly and expertly fleshed out so the reader feels like they know them intimately. People are not always what they appear, still waters can run deep. Everyone is a suspect and they all swear they didn't do it. They start to turn on each other, and the reader is left guessing literally to the last page. There are 2 twists in this story that will leave you as the reader shaking your head and saying "what did I just read??" I have become almost addicted to author Ernie Lindsey's writing and can't wait to move on to his next story!
About the Author
USA Today bestselling author Ernie Lindsey grew up in the Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia, working on the family farm and reading, and has spent his life telling stories to anyone that will listen. He currently works as a freelance writer and is the author of ten Mystery & Suspense novels and numerous short stories. When he's not writing, you can find him chasing a toddler, feeding a toddler, or cleaning up after a toddler. He remembers non-toddler things, but they're flimsy, gauzy mysteries.
Ernie and his family live in Oregon, along with a multi-fingered Hemingway cat named Luna.
