Chuao Chocolatier Review

Best known for its award-winning confections, Chuao Chocolatier creates culinary-inspired delights by blending all-natural ingredients with its own premium blend of ethically sourced chocolate, featuring cacao from its founders’ native Venezuela. Master Chef Michael Antonorsi and his brother Richard started Chuao Chocolatier in 2002 with the intention of arousing the senses with unusual, unexpected and delicious chocolate experiences.

I received their 4 newest flavors in full size bars

Oh My S’mores!, Ooh Ahh Almond, Sweet & Salty, and Pretzel Toffee Twirl

I also got an Assorted ChocoPod 8 Piece Gift Set that included

Firecracker mini bar: Sea salt, a dash of chipotle and popping candy crackle in dark chocolate. Contains milk lactose, soy.

Honeycomb mini bar: Luscious amber honey, caramelized into crisp bits and enrobed in dark chocolate. Contains soy, honey.

Maple Bacon mini bar: Crisp bites of bacon drizzled with delicate maple sweetness and a sprinkle of bonfire smoked sea salt, bathed in milk chocolate. Contains dairy, soy.

Pop Corn Pop mini bar: Mixed puffed whole grains, toasted corn chips, and a sprinkle of sea salt with a surprising POP in milk chocolate. Contains dairy, soy.

Potato Chip mini bar: Crisp kettle cooked potato chips and a hint of sea salt, mix and mingle in milk chocolate. Contains dairy, soy.

Orange-A-Go-Go mini bar: Rich dark chocolate grooves with zesty bits of candied orange and soulful orange bergamot. Contains soy.

Salted Chocolate Crunch mini bar: Crunchy, toasted breadcrumbs dusted with sea salt and swirled in dark chocolate. Formerly known as Panko. Contains soy, wheat.

Spicy Maya mini bar: Seductive cinnamon, pasilla chile and warming cayenne bedded in dark chocolate. Contains soy.

My Review

I love chocolate! I can't even put into words my love for chocolate. I am also a bit adventurous when it comes to my chocolate. I love finding new and unique flavor combinations with my chocolate. I got these bars from Chuao and could not wait to try them all! It was very hard to ration myself and not eat them all at once. I also had to keep eagle eyes on my husband and my boys to make sure it didn't disappear. These chocolate bars in these different flavors were amazing! The chocolate is sweet and rich and the combinations only add to the goodness. I think my favorites were the Oh My S’mores! and the Maple Bacon. My husband is really into spicy foods, so he loved the Firecracker and the Spicy Maya. The sweet of the chocolate balances out the spicy ingredients so that it's not too much of either one. I even tried them and liked them, and I don't usually like anything spicy. My boys loved the crunchy, sweet, salty of the Potato Chip and Popcorn bars. Even the Almond one got eaten quickly, and that's not a popular taste in this house. I am just very impressed with the quality of these chocolate bars and the uniqueness of the combinations of flavors. If you are a fan of chocolate you definitely need to check this company out!
