I received the Black Death and Ebola Virus Putty Dishes to review.

My Review

I have 2 little boys so "gross" and "gag" toys are very popular here. The fact that these can be educational also just adds to the appeal. When I got the putty dishes my first thought was omg so gross! LOL Their first reaction was COOL!! My 7 year old is a really good reader so he read the little information tags on the dishes and then talked about the Black Death and Ebola with anyone that would listen. He kept asking questions so he got on the computer (he's very tech savvy) and looked up more information. We talked about handwashing and hygiene with both boys. THEN they got to open them! These are ooey gooey slimy with a small plastic microbe inside the goo. They were squishing it and squeezing it in between their fingers, and just basically being boys with it lol. Now they keep "giving" each other, and mommy and daddy, Ebola and Black Death and finding it quite hilarious. These are really high quality toys and seem like they will last quite a long time. Even the goo holds up really well. The boys are excited about germs and want me to buy them more Giant Microbes now, and I'm all for it! A big 5/5 from me and the boys!

  6. I LOVE GIANTmicrobes!! I'm doing 2 reviews for them and I just think they are so cool! We got the Sperm & Egg panorama which I'm giving to my friend's teenage daughter for Christmas, and an ornament pack which I'm giving to my friend's teenage son for Christmas. My 3-year-old is a little too young to understand the educational side of it with his delays he has, but will definitely look into getting him some when his language develops more!
