Crimson Groves Review

Abigail Tate was a normal human girl. Until the day Bronx the vampire barges into her life and turns her against her will. Held captive while forced to deal with never ending cravings for blood, Abby prays for a way to escape. Only when an opportunity arises, it’s with the aid of an innocent human named Tyler–except vampires are forbidden to interact with the unbitten. But Abby quickly learns this human has secrets of his own…secrets that can either help her or get her killed. Only Abby discovers that she was the one with the biggest secret of them all.

My Review
It was very refreshing to read a vampire story thats not all glitter and restrained fearful feelings. At the root of the history of vamps they are evil, devils spawn and personally I feel that that’s how they should be portrayed. Bronx is a conceited bastard who took what he wanted with no regard or regret for the consequence to Abby, a human that he fell in love with. Abby is a kick ass now take names later kind of girl and I loved that. The book starts at breakneck speed and doesnt slow down till the very end. And what an ending it was! At least until book 2 that is =]

Ashley Robertson resides in sunny Orlando, Florida and loves reading and writing about everything urban fantasy and paranormal romance. When she isn’t writing you’ll find her spending time with family and friends, training in her home gym, traveling and exploring new places, drinking fine red wines, and making gourmet coffees with her Nespresso machine.

  1. It is so great to see someone speaking out against what Twilight has done to the vampire image! Vampires used to be great, and then Twilight happened to them, and now, well, I haven't really found them to be all that great anymore. Maybe this book is just what I need to get my ability to like vampires back!

  2. This book sounds great! I will say (and then hide from the backlash) that I do enjoy Twilight, BUT it is also the source of many jokes at my house! For example, my daughter spilled glitter on the floor and when I came upon it I asked "who killed a Cullen?" LOL
So, while I enjoy those types of story, I really APPRECIATE and ADMIRE the real vampire stories that show them for the evil beings they are.
